Since I adopted Sharav in 2007, basically everything about my life changed multiple times – countries and cities, apartments, careers and jobs, friendships and relationships. At every step, his presence as a central figure in my life put limits on my options (it would have been really difficult to move to Bangkok with him in 2016, for example), but I’m extremely happy that I never chose a life-configuration that wouldn’t have worked for him.
