Something about interacting with Sharav

21 August 2023 by Natan Gesher

Something about interacting with Sharav induced some small subset of people to say the weirdest shit.

You could scratch his back and feel his spine (just like you can scratch your own back and feel your spine), and a New York City vagrant once told me that he could feel a cancerous growth on Sharav’s back, proceeding to give Sharav a prognosis of only six months to live.

That was in 2016, I think, when Sharav would have been nine years old. There was nothing at all wrong with his back, and he lived another seven years.

Thank you to everyone who helped me with Sharav over the years. I hope you know that he loved you, and he loved spending time with you.

Would you be willing to share some memories or photos of Sharav with me?
