Whirlwind of confusion

7 August 2023 by Natan Gesher

The first few days that I spent with Sharav were a whirlwind of confusion. Vitaly had mostly housebroken him, but when I took him outside to go to the bathroom, he… didn’t know what to do? Or where to do it? And I was not prepared to show him!

In the beginning, I was playfully letting Sharav bite my hands because I thought it was adorable and harmless, until someone wisely told me to cut it out right away, or else he would grow up to be a biter.

I was also letting him lick my face (a fun game called נשיקות) for a few months, until someone explained to me that it was unhealthy.

By the way, do you know how to train a dog not to jump on you? It’s by kneeing the dog in the chest when he does.

Thank you to everyone who helped me with Sharav over the years. I hope you know that he loved you, and he loved spending time with you.

Would you be willing to share some memories or photos of Sharav with me?
