Resting

Sharav had been injured shortly before meeting me in the shelter

7 August 2023 by Natan Gesher

Sharav had been injured shortly before meeting me in the shelter, possibly run over by a motor scooter (it’s routine in Israel to ride motor scooters and motorcycles on the sidewalk, often against traffic) – this probably happened more than once when he was very young, which was why he was so afraid of anything with wheels.

He was found by a man named Vitaly on the street in the Krayot during Pesach. Because he was a Malinois, he might have come from the military. Vitaly rescued him and brought him to the shelter in Tel Aviv, then fostered him at home for a couple weeks, feeding him well, socializing him and (mostly) house-breaking him.

When I adopted him, it was from Vitaly’s home.
