Sharav and I moved together seven times: from Tel Aviv to my parents’ house in Maryland in March 2011, to San Francisco in August 2011, to a different apartment in San Francisco in 2012, to New York in 2013, to Seattle in 2017, back to New York in 2018, and from Manhattan to Brooklyn in 2021.
That’s a lot of moving around, though some of the moves were more adventurous than others, like when my brother and I did an epic cross-country drive with Sharav from San Francisco to the east coast in August 2013, staying in motels and with friends and family along the way, stopping to see attractions and experience Americana and eat amazing foods. He was a great sport.
