Sharav and I spent 5,940 days together, and over that time I watched him grow – first from a puppy to a grownup dog, and then getting old and slowing down – paralleling my own growth in a hundred different ways.
He was such a major a part of my life that “Sharav’s person” became central to my identity, and almost everything I did and all the decisions I made, big or small, were related to him in some way or another.
