After the issue in late 2013 that caused Sharav to lose all that weight until I switched him to the Natural Balance duck and potato food, his other illnesses were all transient, and rare enough that I can recount all of them (though there’s no way that I could keep track of all my own sinus infections before 2020).
In early 2017, we were still living in New York but I was traveling a lot and boarding Sharav at the kennel, and he came home sick one time. When I called to let them know that Sharav was sick and ask if any other dogs had also been sick, they decided it would be a good idea to inform me that he had been in contact with another dog who was so ill that he had to be removed.
Then in November 2017, when were living in Seattle, Sharav got sick from a contaminated bag of his kibble – and yes, of course I took a stool sample and vacuum sealed it for the lab, because what else was I supposed to do with my vacuum sealer?
In 2019, when we were living back in New York, he drank something nasty from a puddle at a park in our neighborhood, and spent the next few days vomiting, but recovered on his own.
